Valeria M. Bartlett

Valeria M. Bartlett, 89, of Fergus Falls, joined Jesus on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
Val was born on August 27, 1927, in Farming, Minnesota, the daughter of William and Rose (Klemer) Brinkman. Her many years of work experience included waitressing at the Triangle Supper Club, West Central Turkey Plant for 35 years, and she retired in December of 2011 from West Central Linen.
Val’s life was full of many activities, such as building, planting, biking, swimming, water skiing, and “Bo-dunk-dinkin anything that needed fixin!” She made the best peanut butter cookies, homemade French fries, and egg noodles ever. When Val sat down, if she wasn’t knitting or crocheting, she was “just resting her eyes.”
May she now rest in peace.
Val is survived by her three children, Judy (Rich) Drennen of Conway, Arkansas; Sharon (Darrel) Leitch of Richville, and Ricky (Shari) Bartlett of West Minster, Colorado; three grandchildren, Pam (Kevin) Graf, Tammy (Todd) Hinsverk, and Lindsy (Eric) Briese, all of Fergus Falls; great-grandchildren, Emily and Ben Graf; Riley, Brandon, and Madisen Hinsverk; Wyatt and Walker Briese, all of Fergus Falls; and great-great-granddaughter, Avery Jade Torgusson; six siblings, Cleo Schlagheck, Al (Gloria) Brinkman, Sally (Max) Gilbert, Gilbert (Carol) Brinkman, Orville (Judy) Brinkman, and Bill (Carol) Brinkman; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ursula Kruger and Marge Svihel; brothers-in-law, Orville Schlagheck and Joe Svihel; and granddaughter, Sandy Sims.
