David Arthur “Greasy” Grunewald, 68, a lifelong resident of Rothsay, MN died peacefully in his sleep on Thurs., Sept. 7, 2017.
He was born on July 4, 1949, in Fergus Falls, the son of Art and Edna (Erickson) Grunewald.
Greasy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, camping, and driving around the local countryside viewing the farmland. He was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed woodworking in his shop.
Preceding him in death were his parents, and his sister Avis Lemke.
Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer (Don) Houskeeper of Nevis, Kellie (Dan Otto) Goschen of Dilworth; sons, Joel (Rosemary) Grunewald of Rothsay, Eric Grunewald of St. Cloud; grandchildren, Cassandra, Kameron, Kennedy, Karlie, Kurtis, Brittany, Isabella, Danielle, Logan, Brady, and Regan; great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Claire; brothers, Dale Grunewald, Denny (Sheila) Grunewald; and a sister, Joyce (Sylvester) Trosvik. Also surviving is his beloved dog Walter, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home
Service: Tues., Sept. 12, 2pm at Olson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls
Interment: North Friborg Cemetery
