Wadena, MN – May 16, 2016 — Get out your running shoes for this year’s Sunnybrook Stomp on Friday, June 17 in
Wadena. The 5K Run/Walk event is sponsored by Tri‐County Health Care and begins with registration at 5:30 p.m. at the
Lions Shelter in Wadena’s Sunnybrook Park.
5K Run/Walk ‐ Registration for the 5K Run/Walk is only $15 if registered by June 1, and $20 after that.
Participants who wish to have a performance shirt, instead of cotton, can do so for an additional $4.
Kids 1K ‐ There is no cost for kids, 10 years old or younger who do not wish to have a t‐shirt, to participate in the
1K Kids race. For 1K participants wishing to have a t‐shirt, the cost is only $7. All kids participating in the 1K will receive a
Pre‐registration is recommended. All participants who register before June 1 are guaranteed a t‐shirt.
The Kids 1K Race will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the 5K race to start immediately at its conclusion. Refreshments
will be served following the race.
The 5K course is a snap shot of Wadena – it includes the park, industrial, health care and residential areas of the
north east side of Wadena. “I’m proud of the TCHC Wellness Committee for taking ownership of the Sunnybrook Stomp
and making it our own while embracing the name and other features that make the Sunnybrook Stomp a must‐be race
for 5K participants,” said Sara Stone, Tri‐County Health Care Health Promotion Manager.
