LB Homes Lakeland Hospice announces 4th Annual Harmon Killebrew Hospice Day at Target Field

Mark your calendars for the 4th Annual Harmon Killebrew Hospice Day to be held Saturday, August 13, 2016. The Minnesota Twins are scheduled to play this year’s World Series champions, The Kansas City Royals during an evening game starting at 6:10 pm.
The event kicks off with charter busses carrying hundreds of fans of hospice and baseball loading up from throughout West Central Minnesota and heading to Minneapolis for the game. Along the way they will stop in Alexandria, MN for a complementary tailgate lunch of burgers, chips and beverages complements of Cub Foods.
Each year a retired ball player who knew Harmon Killebrew is featured on a Harley Davidson motorcycle to be raffled off during the game. This year Hall of Famer Rod Carew has been selected as the featured player. Rod and Harmon played together on the Minnesota Twins baseball team from 1967 – 1974 when Harmon’s departure took him to the Kansas City Royals.
This years’ Harley Davidson motorcycle will be unveiled at the TwinsFest in Minneapolis at Target Field January 29-31.
