Due to the supplemental allocation we’ve received from the CDC this year, we currently have a large amount of flu vaccine doses available for sites to order. Remember that these additional doses can be administered to any adult age 19 and older, regardless of insurance coverage, if screening proves to be a barrier to vaccination.
If you’re able to use additional doses of flu vaccine at your site, we encourage you to place an order now.
You can place an order at 2020-20201 Adult Influenza Vaccine Ordering Form. Plan ahead and order now as flu shipments will not be sent out around the holidays. If you are not already an UUAV provider, you can complete the provider agreement at Uninsured and Underinsured Adult Vaccine Program.
Contact the UUAV program staff at firstname.lastname@example.org or 651-201-5522.
Watch for the new statewide campaign, Band Together Against the Flu. This innovative and colorful campaign will include social media, streaming audio/video, print, and diverse media partnerships. The campaign encourages people to get a flu vaccine by emphasizing that it’s not too late, and more important than ever this year, to help keep people healthy and to not overwhelm our health care system. The colorful bandage art is from Minnesota artists. See more about the campaign and learn about the artists at Band Together Against the Flu.
The campaign will run through Jan. 31, 2021. Heavy media presence will be especially noticeable during National Influenza Vaccination Week (NIVW). Please share our campaign messages on social media!
National Influenza Vaccination Week is Dec. 6-12, 2020. This is a great time to remind people that there is still time to get a flu vaccine. CDC’s updated NIVW Digital Toolkit, including social media messages and details on upcoming activations, will be available on CDC’s website at 2020 NIVW Digital Media Toolkit the week of Nov. 30. You can use these materials to remind your audiences of the importance of annual flu vaccination for everyone age 6 months and older. Included in the toolkit will be NIVW resources, vaccination messages, and activities to use to share key information on flu with your networks.
