Bridget Leonard has been named the new Regional Director for
Kindred Family Focus’ (KFF) Fergus Falls office, serving Fergus Falls and
the surrounding 15-county area.
Leonard lives in Fergus Falls with her husband and two children, and
brings more than 10 years of experience as a clinical social worker to
her new position.
She said she looks forward to the challenges of her new position with
Kindred Family Focus. “The most difficult part of the job is hearing
about what these children have been through — the trauma, neglect,
and/or abuse,” she said. “But the best part is watching them grow and
thrive in secure, loving homes, with foster or adoptive families who
have been trained in understanding their unique needs. For some kids
and teens, that can take a long time, but, eventually, most are able to
trust again and gain a sense of safety.”
Kindred Family Focus —formerly PATH of Minnesota, Inc. — merged
with Nexus Treatment in 2012, and is now the largest private foster
care provider in the state.
KFF licenses foster care and adoptive homes, and provides ongoing
support and supervision to the children and families in its placements.
