Norenberg & Barnes To Speak On Nutrition, Diet and Cancer
Cancer Center Educational Series November Session
(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – Lake Region Healthcare’s Cancer Care & Research Center (LRH CCRC) will provide information and Q&A on the topic of nutrition, diet and cancer at the November Educational Series at 5:00 on Monday, November 9th in the Cancer Center’s Conference Room.
Kristy Norenberg is a clinical dietician at LRH and along with Radiation Oncologist Dr. Marge Barnes, the two will discuss several questions surrounding nutrition, diet and cancer. Have you heard that red meat causes cancer? What about Bacon? Amidst all the reports about things in our diets that cause cancer, what can we believe? Is science giving us real information or just using scare tactics to get our attention. This promises to be a lively, meaningful discussion about our diets and what is good for us, what is bad for us, and what is a realistic diet to live with.
The educational forums are held the second Monday of each month in the Cancer Care & Research Center Conference Room. Each month, knowledgeable professionals present on such topics as trends in cancer treatment and research, financial resources, survivorship, preplanning, healthcare directives, community resources, wellness, nutrition, and much more.
All sessions are free and open to the public, but registration is requested to plan for refreshments. Please call 218.736.8688 for information or to register.
Individual session topics and details will be available on the “Education & Events” link at www.lrhc.org.
