Lake Region Healthcare is pleased to announce the opening of its new Walk-In Clinic. The clinic will open on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11am.

"From the construction crew to training staff, everyone has been working very hard behind the scenes to ensure this clinic will be well-equipped to provide patients with quality, convenient healthcare," said Larry Schulz, President and CEO of Lake Region Healthcare. "The Walk-In Clinic is a response to community feedback requesting more convenient access to healthcare services," he added.

The Walk-In Clinic will be open 364 days a year, closing only on Christmas day. Clinic hours will be 11am to 8pm Monday through Friday and 9am to 5pm on Saturdays & Sundays and holidays. Lake Region Healthcare will evaluate those hours regularly and adjust as needed to meet patient needs.

The Walk-In Clinic is designed to be a convenient alternative when a same-day appointment isn't available with your own physician for an urgent health care need. The Walk-In Clinic medical staff will include physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and nurses prepared to care for the usual illnesses treated in a primary care physician's office, but open extended hours when primary care doctor's offices would normally be closed. In the event a primary care doctor is booked, the Walk-In Clinic will be an available option without an appointment. In addition, most minor, non-life threatening conditions often seen in hospital emergency rooms can be handled at the Walk-In Clinic.
The Clinic is located on the on the west side of Fergus Falls near the Applebee's restaurant. The public is invited to a preview open house featuring tours and refreshments from 5pm to 6:30pm on Thursday, February 2nd.
