The Friends of Fort Juelson or FOFJ is a formally organized group that operates in accordance with By-Laws that were adopted on January 12th, 2009. The mission of this group is to cooperate with Otter Tail County to preserve, interpret and enhance the Fort Juelson site.

FOFJ also works to raise funds to build enhancement projects at the Fort Juelson site.

"Some of the projects we've funded with the county include the parking lot, the split rail cedar fencing, the recognition boulder, the Hwy. 210 sign, the lighted flag seen at night and both the U.S. and state flag," said Cliff Knutson, the Friends of Fort Juelson President.

At this time there are approximately twenty-five members who belong to FOFJ.

Fort Juelson is located about two miles east of Underwood, MN in Tordenskjold Township. A flag pole marks the site north of Hwy. 210.
