Irrigated Corn Silage Plot Tour

Plan to attend the University of Minnesota Extension Irrigated Corn Silage Plot Tour on Friday, September 3, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dan Dreyer Farm northeast of Ottertail City. The program will include Doug Holen, Dr. Phil Glogoza, and Dr. Paul Peterson of the University of Minnesota Extension discussing forage research updates, forage insect pests, and alfalfa/grass stand management. District sales managers will also be discussing hybrid evaluations and give a company update. A picnic style lunch will be provided by Betty’s Pantry along with refreshments. Directions:
From Ottertail City go east on MN Hwy 108, on the edge of town turn north onto Buchanan Rd. Go north on Buchanan Rd. for 1 mile, then take a right onto field road. Plots are on the north side of field road.
