Attend the “Grants and Resources for Artists” Workshop
FERGUS FALLS, MINN, October 19, 2015 –
Save yourself a trip to Fergus Falls and come meet us in Detroit Lakes. This is your opportunity to ask questions, to discuss your potential artistic projects, to learn how you could fund your artistic goals, and to find out about other workshops and training.
Lake Region Arts Council (LRAC) and Springboard for the Arts will be presenting a workshop on Grants and Resources for Artists on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at the Historic Holmes Theatre, Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
The workshop presenters are Maxine Adams, LRAC, Executive Director, Betsy Ostenson, LRAC, Grant Manager, and Naomi Schliesman, Springboard for the Arts, Artist Development Coordinator. The workshops topics included basic grant writing skills, artistic grant programs offered by LRAC, artistic grant programs offered by other Minnesota funders, and Springboard resources and opportunities for artists in the region.
This workshop is open to all Minnesota artists including literary, music, performance and visual artists. All disciplines are welcome to attend the presentation.
Free scholarships are available to cover the cost of the workshop which would be a $30 value. The deadline to register for the workshop’s scholarship is Wednesday, November 4, 2015.
