“Celebrate Life” Even When Terrible Things Have Happened
Chaplain Brad Skogen to lead December Cancer Center Educational Series
(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – Lake Region Healthcare’s Cancer Care & Research Center (LRH CCRC) will provide a time to learn and share how to celebrate life when terrible things have happened at the December Educational Series. It begins at 5:00 on Monday, December 14th in the Cancer Center’s Conference Room.
Brad Skogen, M.Div, BCC and Chaplaincy Services Director at Lake Region Healthcare will lead the session. “Beautiful and terrible things happen in our lives,” Skogen says. “It is perhaps easier to celebrate during the beautiful times, yet it is incredibly valuable to find authentic and meaningful things to celebrate during the terrible times,” he added.
The educational forums are held the second Monday of each month in the Cancer Care & Research Center Conference Room. Each month, knowledgeable professionals present on such topics as trends in cancer treatment and research, financial resources, survivorship, preplanning, healthcare directives, community resources, wellness, nutrition, and much more.
All sessions are free and open to the public and topics are pertinent to a broad audience in addition to cancer patients and their families. Registration is requested to plan for refreshments. Please call 218.736.8688 for information or to register.
Individual session topics and details will be available on the “Education & Events” link at www.lrhc.org.
