Lake Region Arts Council welcomes Anne Robinson-Paul of Clay County to serve on the Board of Directors.
Anne Robinson-Paul has a B.A. in English Writing from Concordia College, and a M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Eastern Washington University. She currently works in University Relations at North Dakota State University where she leads a team of writers and works closely with the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences on its communication needs, such as event promotion and student recruitment.
In addition to her professional life at NDSU promoting art, cultural events and unique educational opportunities such as the wood-fired kiln, visiting artists and the NDSU Press, Anne is working on a nonfiction book about ordinary women who are extraordinary. Growing up, she developed her appreciation of the arts by playing the piano, flute, and participating in the high school concert and marching bands.
“I believe the arts are critical for thriving communities. Art helps us understand ourselves and the world around us. Art, both making it and experiencing it, makes life more enjoyable.” Anne sees participating in the council as a way to serve the region and support the arts. “I welcome the opportunity to learn more about the regional arts scene and connect with other people who love the arts.”
