4-H Babysitting Clinics Well Attended
Three babysitting clinics were held at local schools the last week of April. These clinics teach what characteristics make a good babysitter, first aid, what to do in an emergency, “ages & stages” of children (like what to expect from children at certain ages), and other important aspects of child care.
Rothsay School awarded certificates to 19 students, 5th grade and up, on Monday, April 25; 18 Underwood School students participated on Tuesday; and on Wednesday at Battle Lake School, 16 babysitters attended.
These babysitting clinics are conducted by Tammy Nordick, 4-H Program Coordinator, University of Minnesota Extension, West Otter Tail County. To learn more about the babysitting clinics and other 4-H programs, contact us at 218-998-8760.
